Edale launches narrow web coating machine

Edale used Labelexpo Europe 2007 to launch a dedicated, narrow web offline coating machine for a wide range of coating applications. The increase in short to medium production runs of intelligent label solutions using high technology materials has led to the need for in-house coating, the company says, which prompted the launch of the machine.

Depending on the application — gravure, screen, flexo, hot melt or any combination — coating process is available with the Lambda. Extended drying and curing solutions for any type of adhesives are available. The fully servo driven Lambda Coater incorporates a web tension and handling system to enable coating of a wide range of delicate substrates, including metallic foil, holograms, tapes and films.
